Doubtful, given that the American public swallowed his party's outright lies and still gave Bush another four years. It seems that his bewilderedness at the firestorm around him will once again save his buttocks.

George Stephanopoulous has an undisclosed source inside the White House. Bully for him. It seems to me that if I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, chief of staff to Dick Cheney, was Judith Miller's source, then how could the Vice President not be involved in what went on? Nobody is going to convince me that Libby was freelancing.

And yet again, I know it must be so tiresome: Who outed whom about what is not the real issue. The real issue is that Bush lied, knowingly and in disregard of CIA cautions, about Saddam Hussein shopping for nuclear capabilities. And that lie was central to his justification of invading Iraq, a tragically foolish venture that will soon have cost more than 2,000 American lives.
