BILLY ROBINSON MEMORIAL CONCERT
Ottawa, October 10, 2005:
Musicians from Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa are volunteering to play at
the upcoming Memorial Concert for saxophonist, composer, bandleader and
educator Billy Robinson. Among the musicians wishing to play their tributes
are
David Broscoe, Jeri Brown, Nathan Cepelinski, Kelly Craig, Roddy Ellias,
Mike Essoudry, Jennifer Giles, Peter Hum, Rory Magill, Stacie McGregor,
Ahmadou Ngom, Dan Pencer, Thomas Posner, Bernard Stepien, Jake Von Wurden
and Linsey Wellman. Musicians wishing to participate should contact Bernard
Stepien as soon as possible at:

The concert will be held in Ottawa on Sunday October 16, 2005, at the
Library & Archives Auditorium, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa, from
12:00noon to 4:30pm.
Admission will be free; donations will be accepted for the Jamiatul
Muslemeen of Ottawa Carleton and for Amnesty International. It is hoped
that Billy's last recording, made in March, and his other CDs, will be
available for sale.
