Fighting Democrats
Fighting Democrats
So far the Democrats have five or six Iraq War vets running for Congress next year. Number of Republican vets running so far? Zero.

I had to look at this thread because the term "fighting democrats" seems like an oxymoron. But I guess in the context in which you are using it, it is fair.
I only wish Democrats did more "fighting," rather than trying to be Republican lite.

C'mon, TG.
repiublicans don't fight in a war....they just send the sons of Democrats to do their bidding for them.
Just ask our president appointee....er, when he's sober enough.

I mean, what's another DEAD Democrat or two compared to right wing religious purity, higher oil profits and tax breaks for the rich, eh?
Geez, TG.
What were you thinking?
Say hallelujah.

Uh-huh.
And I've got a bridge to sell you, Omar. Cheap.
It's a big gold one sitting in the San Francisco Bay.

In case you haven't noticed the leadership of the Democratic Party hasn't been a particularly outspoken part of the antiwar movement, nor has it taken any significant leadership role in that movement. The same cannot be said of rank and file Democrats, but therein lies the problem, and not only in the field of foreign policy. A fissure runs horizontally through the Democratic Party, and fairly far down in its hierarchal structure which the millions of good folks who regularly vote for Democrats seem both unwilling and incapable of grappling with successfully, at least so far.
