Who is the Greatest Rock Band in History by Far?
Well. I know THIS list is remarkably inclusive, so just answer or I'll sexually abuse this turtle.

The turtle has at least a temporary reprieve.
Thanks for caring.

Watch it. I just felt up the turtle. And I'm not satisfied*.
* Although the current tie between the Jam and the DC5 confirms the validity of the poll.

Just think. If you were the turtle, you could feel yourself up anytime you wanted -- out of the shell.

With such an unusual devotion to turtles, why are The Turtles, Tortoise and John Fahey not on the list?

Given the general drift of the thread, I vote for the Butthole Surfers as the greatest perceived, both each and sheesh, individually collective Rock Band, in the lobby with Colonel Mustard and the candelabra. Together.

They were disqualified because I didn't know if they were surfers who happen to be buttholes or people who surf buttholes and I couldn't handle the ambiguity.

Hit it, fellas!
Imagine me and you
I do!
I think about you day and night
It isn't right
To think about (thelil) you love
Who isn't bright.
So happy together
If I should call you up
invest a dime
And you say you belong to me
they'll tap the line.
Imagine what the rap would be
How high the fine!
So happy together
I can't see me shovin' nobody but you
right up my [censored]
Imagine me and you and you and me
No matter where you place the mice, it has to be
The only one for me is you, and you for me
So happy together
So happy together

I am boycotting this poll until the true Greatest Rock Band In History by Far is included. I know Col. Bruce Hampton. Col. Bruce Hampton is a friend of mine. You're no Col. Bruce Hampton.

I'd go with Chuch Berry when he had Johnny Johnson on piano, though I'm partial to saxes and given that I'd also go with Little Richard and give him the edge over Fats Domino.

Since the Kinks aren't on the list, The Jam is the next best thing.
