Sob, it's true, it's true.....but as D. Boon would say, "I'm satisfied, I can't deny it!"

Though I would have to say that anyone's who's ever seen Devandra live must know what a freak the bearded man-child can be. I imagine that now he's more seasoned to the live thing hopefully he can take some ribbing from the audience without falling apart.....as for his music, I just can't get behind his Tim and Jeff Buckley-isms.....perhaps if I grew a beard and smoked some of that so-called "reefer" that I hear the kids talkin' 'bout I could get down with his tunes.......

Is that the one where he talks about getting in a fight with Sammy Hagar at a sushi restaurant?

I can't get into his latest but do enjoy "Rejoicing in the Hands".

CocoRosie.

Check them out. (emusic has their records)
Friends and associates with Banhart, and imo, more interesting.

Haven't read it yet, but he's interviewed in the new Believer magazine that I just got yesterday.

I second the CocoRosie recommendation. I recently picked up Noah's Ark and I really like it. I first heard them on some college radio station i happened to pick up while driving through Atlanta.

CocoRosie = Late Billie Holiday + Bjork + Tom Waits + ????
