So whatever happened to
DEEP?
I was looking at some VERY OLD prints I had from JCS and DEEP was in some of the conversations. I guess I was lucky that I never was in the firing line like some of the other women (Laurie, etc.). Some of the stuff he used to say WAZ pretty humorous but alot of it was pretty baaaad also...
Anywho, itz nice to come back on this board from time to time and see that alot of you are still hanging here!

I always suspect he might post here occasionally under various synonyms.

Danny is alive and well and etc. So is Laurie, I presume. Life goes on.
Nice to see your face in the place, Ms. Thang!

Danny is alive, having recently undergone some surgery, which I hope was successful.
I haven't a clue as to Laurie Tvedt. I hope that she's fine, of course.
Life goes on, indeed.
I don't see Ms. Thang's or anyone's face, frankly. Care to elaborate, Doc?

I saw Danny at Smoke in NYC this last August; I hadn't seen him in quite a while.
He looked great. He wasn't playing but just seeing the David Hazeltine Trio with Marc Edelman from Sharp Nine Records.
When Danny played with my friend, the late great pianist Barry Kiener, we spent many a night together.
I will always remember the night when Danny showed up at Barry's door very late one night with Tony Bennett ( who Danny was touring with ) along with bassist Jon Burr, who was also with TB and played in the Buddy Rich band with Barry.
He's always been a very funny and witty guy; great drummer. Deep knowledge of the language and history of the music.

Dan would love that sentence, especially the last word.

I recently learned that Laurie Tvedt is living in europe. Can't remember if it's Germany or Austria, but somewhere around there. wish she'd post from there once in a while.

Actually, I'm living in DC, working at a public affairs company. My "day job" always took a back seat to my music, but I got tired of working boring jobs for 24-year old bosses, so I decided to flip the paradigm. Moved to DC where the interactive work is more political and international and less about advertising products. Now I have a really interesting and challenging job and even though I'm not singing out anywhere I'm still keeping my chops up jamming with friends when I can.
I still cruise the board occasionally and it's great to see familiar faces.

Hi, Laurie. Thanks for stopping by. Please don't be a stranger.
There are quite a few JC posters in and around the D.C. area, as you may already know, as well as a Washington D.C. music thread here in SPEAK OUT.

To be frank, LDB has managed to alienate every lady here.
I've never had any problem with the guy, but I'm a guy.
