Check the upper right hand portion of your screen for message tallies. I don't think this bbs enables email message notifications. I do get new message popups when I log in, so maybe it's either something in your preferences or your browser settings if you're not getting these.

If you two are talking about private message (PM) notifications, this board does have e-mail notifications (as well as popups) enabled; I selected that option, and I get them.

User CP --> Edit Options --> Messaging & Notification --> Private Messaging

However, John, if you're talking about getting notified about certain posts on the "open board," such as when someone replies to a thread, that's disabled.

Look up your own profile (click on your name in the Members List or anywhere else on the board), then click to view all posts by you, along with the thread titles. Go as far back as your patience permits.

You could try fooling around with different Thread Display Modes (User CP --> Edit Options --> Thread Display Options --> Thread Display Mode), but that might not help.

Those don't happen to be concerns of mine, and I haven't thought about them. Maybe someone else has better solutions!

That doesn't make my top 10 troubles.

How can I find something inside this Board by synonym words ?

I Can't figure out that How can I find something inside this Board by synonym words instead of exact words.
I searched for synonym words in http://www.google.com and
http://www.boardexplorer.com and I found this Board.
However inside the site I could not find any smart search. you should know exact words to find similar topics
any recommendation?

AFAIK, you can't use JC's Search function to find synonyms. I hope you've tried using it to search for the actual words you're looking for!

The only thing I can suggest is to use Google's Advanced Search function and let it search this board for you. In Google's Advanced Search, enter not only your synonyms but the JC domain (I think that's the term that Google uses): http://www.jazzcornertalk.com/speakeasy . You might want to enter a date range, too--say, from 2004 to the present. (I've never tried doing a search like that, but I think it might work.)

I haven't checked out Board Explorer.
