Caiught him tonight at Dizzy's, San Diego's best jazz venue. What a riot! he's still swinging in his own way, and his lyrics were just sublime. So few songwriters can write like him without sounding petty and mean-spirited. He has a plainspeaking way of looking at the world that makes you laugh and think at the same time.
