This is better than real:
NP: So what is your book about?
HC: ABOUT? What is my book ABOUT? It's about America, jack, and how we live in it despite everything. It's about the big themes, which writers today are too pussy-whipped to address.

I agree with Hill (can I call her Hill?) about Dave Eggars.

Subtlely wrought as this satire is, I think somewhere in the following passage I would have gotten that this is a put-on:
>>Hillary Clinton: Yeah, well, fuck that! I'm the greatest fucking writer of my generation! I don't give a shit about anybody else. Who the fuck is Dave Eggers to think he can publish a memoir at age 28 and call it a book? He only got published because, boo-hoo, you know, his parents, wah-wah, and it had nothing to do with his talent and hard work. Fuck him. Fuck them all. Fuck all that McSweeney's shit.
NP: Pretty harsh words. You sound like you should join the Underground Literary Alliance.
HC: Yeah? Well, fuck the ULA? Who do they think they are, a bunch of fucking coal miners? They haven't even written a book. Not one of them? I'm the former First Lady, a Senator, AND I've written a book! Not one of them is qualified to suck my tits! Fuck the ULA, fuck Rick Moody because he lives on an island, fuck them all. They're all just a bunch of privileged dick-bags who haven't had to work a day in their lives. <<

Credulity is at all-time highs, is all I can say, especially in matters of personal vilification of political figures who are not George W. Bush.

I kind of like her when she's being honest like that. Certainly better than that weak shit she laid on the world's dumbest interviewer last night; at least from what I've heard, why listen to that garbage when I can be posting here.

Meanies ! Meanies!!!
Picking on a poor innocent lawyer and financial advisor who believed others' bad financial information. Just like poor financially ill-advised Martha. People pick on her, too!
Meanies! Just a bunch of mean nasty Ken Starrs. It makes me want to cry! Boo hoo hoo.

Apparantly, when the mic was still on, after the interview, Hillary was heard to remark, "What the Hell do I care about a bunch of jealous, would-be critics? I can have Dave Eggars killed for a thousand dollars. Double that and I can have the whole damn bunch of them killed. Wimps!!!" Is this still on? [noticing that the mic was still attached to her lapel] Shit!"

George Bush may have The Johns (Ashcroft and Poindexter), but Hillary has a posse. Dave Eggars better watch his ass.

You better show Respect, Captain. You could be next after Eggars. They get you with style, too: Busting on your head with cognac bottles.

I read today that 200,000 copies of her book sold on the first day. What I find odd about this is that the people waiting in line to cough up good money to buy that tripe are the Monte-style Repubs. I don't know anybody center or left that could care less about it, while several of my right-wing friends are absolutely drooling to get their hands on it.
Ridiculous.

I think I absorbed quite enough of that tripe by flipping thru the book at Borders on the day it came out. If I can get a copy without paying for it, I'll gladly keep it on the back of the shitter for a season.

I heard a clip of her interview with Larry King, in which she stated, in response to Larry's question about democrats carrying on a conspiracy to discredit their political rivals, that it was not possible, because democrats are too busy working on issues that matter to Americans.
Haw!

Interestingly enough, the local LA PBS KCET, which has the Charlie Rose interview show hidden in the 11:30PM to 12:30 AM time period, so as not to lose viewers to Jay Leno or the other one, nevertheless *does* carry it.
Friday nights show was a full hour with Hillary.
While I am not now and have never been a member of the..., no , no start over from "been": been a great fan of the lady, which must be apparent, in dealing with Charlie Rose, a journalist and interviewer unlike handling sycophants Larry King or Baba Wow-wow, she had to slug it out.
He passed over the White House BJ stuff, right into politics.
Old Hil did not come off too badly in the discussion. She may prove to be not only more formidable, but more competent than many of us have credited her with being.
Maybe another "Iron Maiden" Thatcher one day. (And I'm a Thatcher fan.)

Its all about business(or money), and always was. She has the same mentality as Martha Stewart. I've always knew what hilary was about from day one.
