JAZZCORNER's INNERVIEWS

http://jazzcorner.com/innerviews

We've developed a really cool player that only requires flash, you can change the color, balance, little features that make it fun! Each week, Reese Erlich of NPR fame as well as heard on several stations around the world with his Jazz Perspectives has been providing us with some very cool 3 minute vignettes. The latest being Eddie Palmieri. Tomorrow, we'll be putting one up with Billy Bang. We change them every Friday.

I would love your feedback and suggestions.

Please note: the player is robust so you need some ram and preferably a broadband connection.

Best Lois

i like the player and the sound but i dont know exactly what i am listening to ..a nj station...jc's own...

my complaint is the content.....i litened for 20 some min's or so and i guess i expected to hear some music. I have not heard one single song. instead just a bunch of talking heads blathering on who tell me why i should love the next thing i hear or the 20 sec's of a solo i just heard.

Well they are only four minute clips, maybe there are bandwith issues? Otherwise I would agree that fuller clips would be nice.

Steve - thanks so much.

Frankie - These are vignettes, actually we are the home for Reese' Jazz Perpectives on the web and Jazz Corner developed the player. As I said they're just glimpses...

Lois, I'm sorry to report that I've not been able to enjoy this very hip new feature on Jazz Corner. I'm on a 56k dialup, and I'm unable to hear more than 2-3 secs. before interruptions destroy any sense of continuity.

I'm trying to listen to the Fred Hersch Innerview, but will close the window before I go insane listening to the broken fragments of Reese Erlich's good work.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but . . .

Ron, I'm really sorry you can't hear them. The reaction has been excellent. We need to get you DSL or cable!

We just added Arturo O'Farrill.

I'm sorry that I can't hear them, too! I knew that my dialup connection might prove iffy for this feature.

I've been giving a cable modem installation serious consideration. We'll see. Priorities.

Christian McBride is now up on http://jazzcorner.com/innerviews

This is a great one which I'm anxious to hear your feedback. We're trying to get the Woody Shaw interview I did many moons ago up by the weekend and our next regular vignette will be with Dee Dee Bridgewater

Doesn't sound promising with my dialup. It usually takes a "month" to download a minute clip; will give it a shot.
