10 mil on planning? That's some expensive letterhead they're using.

I dunno - in your average prestige building site, what percentage goes for the architects' design and the pre-construction logistics? Maybe it's more than you'd think. Surely there's an architect or two among the posters who can tell us.

I took a bus tour of NYC recently when my parents were in town and as we were passing through Columbus Circle, the enthusiastic and very knowledgeable tour guide did not consider the AOL monolith under construction worth mention which I found amusing since the entire area is cast in its shadow. Of course, Trump already blighted the same territory with his special brand of eyesore but even so the AOL/Lincoln Center project is easily three times the size of Trump's monstrosity.
