Jazz Survey?
What's the story on the "jazz survey" link that is coming up at the top of the site? I had a look and they want email address as well as income information. If this is an initiative of Lois I would fill it out, but I don't want to give that sort of info to just anyone.
Anybody know what the story is?

Nope.
But when I went to it, it gave me shit about my cookies and wanted me to not only change my security settings(no big deal), but it also wanted me to change something else(can't remember exactly what it was). That's about the time Mo returned to The Corner.

Hi folks
I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner, just saw this thread. The Jazz Survey is being conducted by the Jazz Alliance Int'l of which I am a board member. We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of IAJE.
There has been nothing like this conducted before -- to garner information about those who listen to jazz, make jazz, present jazz, etc. For more info on the JAI you can go to gotjazz.info (our consumer site for those folks just getting into jazz via other genres such as hip hop). As far as income, etc, you don't need to answer those questions. It would help, but only if you do it honestly. We basically want to know folks buying, listening patterns -- where they get their music and what their preferences are for hearing music and so on.
I would really appreciate it, if you folks did take a few minutes out and filled it out. Your information will not be sold to anyone and you won't get hit with any spam.
Peace Lois

Phil
I just queried the folks hosting the survey to find out if it's bug or what the story is. Can you use IE?

Lois--
Not sure if this is why you asked, but I took the survey when it first appeared, using IE6, and I don't remember having any problems.

I was asking Phil if he could use IE instead of Safari.

Lois -- It would be interesting, I think, if you can share the results of the survey with us. I'd certainly be curious to see how it comes out. (I did it, dutifully, by the way.)

Thanks Gary and everyone else who is filled it out.
The reason for the cookies Scott, is so that you don't keep coming back trying to filling it out with other names, etc. (Which I know is not your style) LOL
