PISS off
In my youth, I listened to a lot of "angry" music.
Mostly to release the bullshit that existed in my life or the crap I was forced to endure.
WOMEN were the biggest reason...for a variety of reasons.
[Yeah...YOU know why. Uh-huh, yes you do]
I found solice in loud, angry, kick-the-shit-outta-ANYthing-that-lives type music.
Who
Led Zepplin
Steppenwolf
Van Halen
I didn't care...long as it just RIPPED!
What were you're anti-social favorites?

Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonight
Performed by the Rezillos
(originally by Earl Vance and the Valiants)
Well, now the cats is rockin' and everyone's feelin' alright - alright
Say, on a Wednesday evening there's sure gonna be a fight - yeah, a fight
I say, somebody's gonna get their head kicked in tonight
Well, now the bodies movin' and everyone's shouting for more - more
I say, there's gonna be a pool of blood on the dancehall floor - on the floor
I say, somebody's gonna get their head kicked in tonight
We're gonna rip up the chairs - tear down the walls
Smash up the back - we're really on the ball
All of us boys gonna be in full dress
And the whole dance floor'll be a doggone mess
Well, everybody's a-rockin' and everyone's feelin' alright - alright
Said, on a Wednesday evening there's sure gonna be a fight - yeah, a fight
I say, somebody's gonna get their head kicked in tonight
Put a boot in
We're gonna rip up the chairs - tear down the walls
Smash up the back - really on the ball
All of us boys gonna be in full dress
And the whole dance floor'll be a doggone mess
Well, everyone's a-rockin' and everyone's feelin' alright - alright
Said, on a Wednesday evening there's sure gonna be a fight - yeah, a fight
I say, somebody's gonna get their head
I say, somebody's gonna get their head
I say, somebody's gonna get their head kicked in tonight

PeteC,
I'm sorry...you don't date/get married to women?
My bad.
I was thinking/responding from my [sometimes] unfortunately heterosexual point of view.
I am certain there are tunes which speak to the anger folks who don't deal with women, too.
It was a reference point.
I apologize if I have offended.

No. You don't address heterosexual women when you post?

BEHIND BLUE EYES
The Who
No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes
No one knows what it's like
To be hated
To be fated
To telling only lies
But my dreams
They aren't as empty
As my conscience seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free
No one knows what it's like
To feel these feelings
Like I do
And I blame you
No one bites back as hard
On their anger
None of my pain and woe
Can show through
But my dreams
They aren't as empty
As my conscience seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free
When my fist clenches, crack it open
Before I use it and lose my cool
When I smile, tell me some bad news
Before I laugh and act like a fool
If I swallow anything evil
Put your finger down my throat
If I shiver, please give me a blanket
Keep me warm, let me wear your coat
No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes

SUBSTITUE
The Who
You think we look pretty good together
You think my shoes are made of leather
But I'm a substitute for another guy
I look pretty tall but my heels are high
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young, but I'm just back-dated, yeah
Substitute your lies for fact
I can see right through your plastic mac
I look all white, but my dad was black
My fine looking suit is really made out of sack
I was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth
The north side of my town faced east, and the east was facing south
And now you dare to look me in the eye
Those crocodile tears are what you cry
It's a genuine problem, you won't try
To work it out at all you just pass it by, pass it by
Substitute me for him
Substitute my coke for gin
Substitute you for my mum
At least I'll get my washing done

I WISH I WERE IN LOVE AGAIN
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Verse
You don't know that I felt good
When we up and parted.
You don't know I knocked on wood,
Gladly broken-hearted
Worrying is through,
I sleep all night.
Appetite and health restored.
You don't know how much I'm bored.
Refrain 1
The sleepless nights-
The daily fights,
The quick toboggan when you reach the heights__
I miss the kisses and I miss the bites.
I wish I were in love again!
The broken dates-
The endless waits-
The lovely loving and the hateful hates,
The conversation with the flying plates
I wish I were in love again!
No more pain,
No more strain,
Now I'm sane, but . . .
I would rather be gaga!
The pulled-out fur
Of cat and cur,
The fine mismating of a him and her
I've learned my lesson, but I wish I were
In love again!
Refrain 2
The furtive sigh,
The blackened eye,
The words "I'll love you till the day I die,"
The self-deception that believes the lie
I wish I were in love again
When love congeals
It soon reveals
The faint aroma of performing seals,
The double-crossing of a pair of heels.
I wish I were in love again!
No more care.
No despair.
I'm all there now,
But I'd rather be punch-drunk!
Believe me, sir,
I much prefer
The classic battle of a him and her.
I don't like quiet and I wish I were
In love again!
1937 Lyrics by Lorenz Hart

DAZED AND CONFUSED
Led Zepplin
Been Dazed and Confused for so long it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Lots of people talk and few of them know,
soul of a woman was created below.
You hurt and abuse tellin' all of your lies.
Run around sweet baby, Lord how they hypnotize.
Sweet little baby, I don't know where you've been.
Gonna love you baby, here I come again.
Every day I work so hard, bringin' home my hard earned pay
Try to love you baby, but you push me away.
Don't know where you're goin', only know just where you've been,
Sweet little baby, I want you again.
Been dazed and confused for so long, it's not true.
Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.
Take it easy baby, let them say what they will.
Will your tongue wag so much when I send you the bill?

RUNNIN' WITH THE DEVIL
Van Halen
I live my life like there's no tomorrow
And all I've got I had to steal
Least I don't need to beg or borrow
Yes I'm living at a pace that kills
Runnin' with the devil
Runnin' with the devil
I found the simple life ain't so simple
When I jumped out on that road
I got no love, no love you'd call real
Ain't got nobody waiting at home
Runnin' with the devil
Runnin' with the devil
You know I, I found the simple life, weren't so simple, no
When I jumped out on that road
Got no love, no love you'd call real
Got nobody waiting at home
Runnin' with the devil
Runnin' with the devil
Runnin' with the devil
Runnin' with the devil

Get Out Of Town
Music and Lyrics by Cole Porter
Get out of town,
Before it’s too late, my love;
Get out of town,
Be good to me, please
Why wish me harm?
Why not retire to a farm
And be contented to charm
The birds off the trees?
Just disappear,
I care for you much too much,
And when you are near,
Close to me, dear
We touch too much.
The thrill when we meet
Is so bitter sweet that,
Darling, It’s getting me down.
So on your mark, get set,
Get out of town.

A hit! A very palpable hit!
It's not the truth I seek
It's just a mockery
Don't need to waste my time
You know I've really tried
You take and never give
It get's so hard to live
I'm hangin on a ledge
Pushed straight over the edge
Don't do the thing's you do
Don't have to oblige you
Makin choises on my own
Dont buy their trite, and drone
Grow up and be a man
Drop dead right where I stand
I hangin on a ledge
Pushed straight over the edge

I used to think maybe you loved me
now baby
I'm sure.
And I just can't wait till the day when you knock on my door.
Now ev'ry time I go for the mailbox
got to hold myself down.
'Cause I just can't wait
till you write me you're coming around.
Now I'm walking on sunshine
I'm walking on sunshine
I'm walking on sunshine
and don't it feel good
and don't it feel good?

MONSTER
By Steppenwolf
Once the religious, the hunted and weary
Chasing the promise of freedom and hope
Came to this country to build a new vision
Far from the reaches of kingdom and pope
Like good Christians, some would burn the witches
Later some got slaves to gather riches
But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands to court the wild
And she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light
And once the ties with the crown had been broken
Westward in saddle and wagon it went
And 'til the railroad linked ocean to ocean
Many the lives which had come to an end
While we bullied, stole and bought our a homeland
We began the slaughter of the red man
But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands to court the wild
And she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light
The blue and grey they stomped it
They kicked it just like a dog
And when the war over
They stuffed it just like a hog
And though the past has it's share of injustice
Kind was the spirit in many a way
But it's protectors and friends have been sleeping
Now it's a monster and will not obey
(Suicide)
The spirit was freedom and justice
And it's keepers seem generous and kind
It's leaders were supposed to serve the country
But now they won't pay it no mind
'Cause the people grew fat and got lazy
And now their vote is a meaningless joke
They babble about law and order
But it's all just an echo of what they've been told
Yeah, there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into a noose
And it just sits there watchin'
Our cities have turned into jungles
And corruption is stranglin' the land
The police force is watching the people
And the people just can't understand
We don't know how to mind our own business
'Cause the whole worlds got to be just like us
Now we are fighting a war over there
No matter who's the winner
We can't pay the cost
'Cause there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into a noose
And it just sits there watching
(America)
America where are you now?
Don't you care about your sons and daughters?
Don't you know we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster

This is a world destruction, your life ain't nothing.
The human race is becoming a disgrace.
Countries are fighting with chemical warfare.
Not giving a damn about the people who live.
Nostradamus predicts the coming of the Antichrist.
Hey, look out, the third world nations are on the rise.
The Democratic-Communist Relationship,
won't stand in the way of the Islamic force.
The CIA is looking for you.
The KGB is smarter than you think.
Brainwash mentalities to control the system.
Using TV and movies - religions of course.
Yes, the world is headed for destruction.
Is it a nuclear war?
What are you asking for?
This is a world destruction. Your life ain't nothing.
The human race is becoming a disgrace.
The rich get richer.
The poor are getting poorer.
Fascist, chauvinistic government fools.
People, Moslems, Christians and Hindus.
Are in a time zone just searching for the truth.
Who are you to think you're a superior race?
Facing forth your everlasting doom.
We are Time Zone. We've come to drop a bomb on you.
World destruction, kaboom, kaboom, kaboom!
This is the world destruction, your life ain't nothing.
The human race is becoming a disgrace.
Nationalities are fighting with each other.
Why is this? Because the system tells you.
Putting people in faceless categories.
Knowledge isn't what it used to be.
Military tactics to control a nation.
Who wants to be a president or king? Me!
Mother Nature is gonna work against you.
Nothing in your power that you can do.
Yes, the world is headed for destruction.
You and I know it, cause the Bible tells you.
If we don't start to look for a better life,
the world will be destroyed in a time zone!
Speak about destruction

EVE OF DESTRUCTION
P.F.Sloan
The eastern world it tis explodin'
violence flarin', bullets loadin'
you're old enough to kill but not for votin'
you don't believe in war. what's that gun you're totin'
and even the Jordan river has bodies floatin'
but you tell me over and over and oveer again my friend,
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destrction.
Don't you understand, what I'm trying to say?
Can't yu see the fear that I'm feeling today?
If the button is pushed, there's no running away.
There'll be no one to save with the world in a grave,
take a look around you, boy, it's bound to scare you,
boy,
but you tell me over and over and over again my friend.
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.
Yeah, my blood's so mad, feels like coagulatin'
I'm sittin' here, just contemplatin'
I can't twist the truth, it knows no regulation,
handful of Senators dont pass legislation,
and marches alone can't bring integration,
when human respect is disintegratin'
this whole crazy world is just too frustratin'
and ou tell me over and over and over again my
friend,
ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.
[[[I didn't print the complete last stanza, because it dealt with Red China, and Selma]]]
.....
Ah, you may leave here, for four days in space,
but when you return, it's the same old place,
the poundin' of the drums, the pride and disgrace,
you can bury your dead, but don't leave a trace,
hate your next-door-neighbour, but don't forget to say
grace,
and you tell me over and over and over again my friend,
that you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.

This one's way obvious, but I used to really dig it back in the day:
Institutionalized
by Suicidal Tendencies
Sometimes I try to do things and it just doesn't work out the way I wanted
to.
I get real frustrated and I try hard to do it and I take my time and it
doesn't work out the way I wanted to.
It's like I concentrate real hard and it doesn't work out
Everything I do and everything I try never turns out
It's like I need time to figure these things out
But there's always someone there going
Hey Mike:
You know we've been noticing you've been having a lot of problems lately. You
know, maybe you should get away and maybe you should talk about it, maybe
you'll feel a lot better
And I go:
No it's okay, you know I'll figure it out, just leave me alone I'll figure
it out. You know I'll just work by myself.
And they go:
Well you know if you want to talk about it I'll be here you know and you'll
probably feel a lot better if you talk about it.
And I go:
No I don't want to I'm okay, I'll figure it out myself and they just keep
bugging me and they just keep bugging me and it builds up inside and it
builds up inside.
So you're gonna be institutionalized
You'll come out brainwashed with bloodshot eyes
You won't have any say
They'll brainwash you until you see their way.
I'm not crazy - institutionalized
You're the one who's crazy - institutionalized
You're driving me crazy - institutionalized
They stuck me in an institution
Said it was the only solution
to give me the needed professional help
to protect me from the enemy, myself
I was in my room and I was just like staring at the wall thinking about
everything but then again I was thinking about nothing
And then my mom came in and I didn't even know she was there she called my
name and I didn't even hear it, and then she started screaming MIKE! MIKE!
And I go:
What, what's the matter
And she goes:
What's the matter with you?
I go:
There's nothing-wrong mom.
And she goes:
Don't tell me that, you're on drugs!
And I go:
No mom I'm not on drugs I'm okay, I was just thinking you know, why don't
you get me a pepsi.
And she goes:
NO you're on drugs!
I go:
Mom I'm okay, I'm just thinking.
She goes:
No you're not thinking, you're on drugs! Normal people don't act that way!
I go:
Mom just give me a Pepsi please
All I want is a Pepsi, and she wouldn't give it to me
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi, and she wouldn't give it to me.
Just a Pepsi.
They give you a white shirt with long sleeves
Tied around you're back, you're treated like thieves
Drug you up because they're lazy
It's too much work to help a crazy
I'm not crazy - institutionalized
You're the one who's crazy - institutionalized
You're driving me crazy - institutionalized
They stuck me in an institution
Said it was the only solution
To give me the needed professional help
To protect me from the enemy, myself
I was sitting in my room and my mom and my dad came in and they pulled up
achair and they sat down, they go:
Mike, we need to talk to you
And I go:
Okay what's the matter
They go:
Me and your mom have been noticing lately that you've been having a lot of
problems, you've been going off for no reason and we're afraid you're gonna
hurt somebody, we're afraid you're gonna hurt yourself.
So we decided that it would be in your interest if we put you somewhere
where you could get the help that you need.
And I go:
Wait, what do you mean, what are you talking about, we decided!? My best
interest?! How can you know what's my best interest is? How can you say what
my best interest is? What are you trying to say, I'm crazy? When I went to
your schools, I went to your churches, I went to your institutional learning
facilities?! So how can you say I'm crazy.
They say they're gonna fix my brain
Alleviate my suffering and my pain
But by the time they fix my head
Mentally I'll be dead
I'm not crazy - institutionalized
You're the one who's crazy - institutionalized
You're driving me crazy - institutionalized
They stuck me in an institution
Said it was the only solution
To give me the needed professional help
To protect me from the enemy, myself
It doesn't matter how's this childs play planned to turn out anyhow

Sergio, that was one of my favorites too.
only the version I had, the last line was:
"It doesnt matter, I'll probably just get hit by a car or something anyway."
some of my favorites were:
dead kennedys (big, big, big time)
minor threat
the vandals
the circle jerks

For me, this particular kind of mood music has never had anything to do with lyrics and everything to do with beautiful blood-curdling brutality ...
MC5
Stooges
Scientists
Radio Birdman
Harem Scarem
And hey, the Coltrane Impulse box does the trick, too.

I, too, have absolutely no idea what reasons GoodSpeak had for being so angry with women. Can he tell the board instead of assuming that readers know or forcing readers to guess?

I dunno what this is all about but I know a decent set of lyrics when I hear them
The Who
I Can't Explain
Got a feeling inside (Can't explain)
It's a certain kind (Can't explain)
I feel hot and cold (Can't explain)
Yeah, down in my soul, yeah (Can't explain)
I said ... (Can't explain)
I'm feeling good now, yeah, but (Can't explain)
Dizzy in the head and I'm feeling blue
The things you've said, well, maybe they're true
I'm gettin' funny dreams again and again
I know what it means, but
Can't explain
I think it's love
Try to say it to you
When I feel blue
But I can't explain (Can't explain)
Yeah, hear what I'm saying, girl (Can't explain)
Dizzy in the head and I'm feeling bad
The things you've said have got me real mad
I'm gettin' funny dreams again and again
I know what it means but
Can't explain
I think it's love
Try to say it to you
When I feel blue
But I can't explain (Can't explain)
Forgive me one more time, now (Can't explain)
I said I can't explain, yeah
You drive me our ot my mind
Yeah, I'm the worrying kind, babe
I said I can't explain

Definitely the Buzzcocks; long on distilled angst, short on instrumental prowess.
Fiction Romance, baby!!!
