Barring any schedule changes I'll be at the Ahmad Jamal, Ben Allison and Vijay Iyer shows.

Very nice lineup. Thanks for the info, Chaz!

Glad you'll be coming to some BDJF doin's.

Will I see you at Brad Mehldau Sunday March 26th at 3PM ?

Or the Basie Band date coming in Barre?

Where is Brad Mehldau playing on the 26th? I don't see anything listed on the Flynn site or on Brad's site.

The Basie show doesn't really interest me all that much, so I most likely won't be attending that one.

I'll likely try making the Ben Allison & Medicine Wheel because I missed them the one time I had the chance. I was there but the crowd in the Knitting Factory Tap Room was so loud and unconscious that I couldn't hear them. It's a week after I do a minitour myself, though, so will depend on how the bread comes out from that and how much work is waiting for me when I'm done.

Sisco -

Great news that you'll likely be able to make the Ben Allison show. I'm thinking if we can get word out that (ferinstance) Matt Wilson is in the band, that will sell some tickets - I think Matt made some friends at his show last year.

I hope your mud season isn't too squishy!

Can't tell you, yet, it's only begun today (mud season).

I don't know that I'll have the bread for entertainment after touring (and hence paying someone to do my farmwork for me, not to mention taking care of Bronwyn, the while) but if I do, I'd like very much to hear Medicine Wheel.

(So long as Little Arnie neither looks at me nor speaks to me, before, during or after. Some things just aren't to be done.)

The Mehldau show might interest me, but there is nothing on the Opera House website and nothing on Brad's site about the show.

Do you have any links to specifics or anything that confirms the show is actually happening?

Medicine Wheel will be a fun and interesting Burlap show, John. I'd think the Vijay Ayer, as well, though I know I won't be affording two nights out that week. Choices, choices, but I'm a large Ben Allison fan.

Medecine Wheel has been towards the top of my wish list of acts to see for quite a while now, so I am really excited.

Likewise for Vijay and Rudresh.

Hopefully we can grab a beer or two before the show.

Please post the info on the show in Montpelier you'll be playing. If I'm free I'll try to attend.

I just got off the phone with The Barre Opera House. Brad Mehldau has been cancelled. Shucks. I was looking forward to that...
