Holy smoke!

I just counted and looked at these!

All 41 issues from beginning to end : 1939 - 1941.

Most seem to be mint or near mint. Even the paper on the earlier issues is sturdy and easy to read.

Volume One has 25 issues. Volume Two has 16 issues. They note that they are ceasing publication in the final issue.

I will entertain bids on the lot of these.

Lots of great articles and record reviews and advertisements and many photos in the latter issues. It is amazing to read articles and accounts about classic jazz artists while they were still living!

All issues seem to be intact. These came from a good jazz friend of mine who was exceedingly particular and did not tolerate 'damaged goods'. I was a little concerned b/c with the run of magazines came several pages that had been cut out from JI's! Pages with photos of record labels on them. BUT....I just went through 3 of the issues looking to see if those pages were missing and the were NOT missing. Looks like my friend had found duplicate pages somewhere some how for some reason.
