Three-day pass available for Indy Jazz Fest
In response to public demand, the American Pianists Association has decided to make three-day passes to the Indy Jazz Fest available this year.
Helen Small, APA president and CEO, said that problems with ticket security originally prompted the organization to withdraw the passes in favor of single-day tickets only. "This is more public-friendly," Small said about the three-day passes, which are $55 in advance. Single-day tickets are $25 in advance. Gate admission is $35.
After the public announcement of the entertainment roster March 30, with no mention of the three-day pass, the APA office began to get phone calls lamenting its loss from both local and out-of-town Indy Jazz Fest fans, according to Small. "We decided to listen to the public," she said.
The eighth annual festival will take place June 16-18 in Military Park, featuring such performers as Bonnie Raitt, Wynton Marsalis, Dr. John, Eddie Palmieri and the Neville Brothers.
All tickets are available through Ticketmaster outlets or at the Murat Centre box office (for an additional $1 service charge).
