Question Regarding Jackie McLean's Vertigo

Vertigo is a compilation of two sessions. Tracks one through five were recorded on February 11, 1963, and featured McLean, Donald Byrd, Herbie Hancock, Butch Warren and Tony Williams.

Tracks 6 through 11 come from an earlier session, recorded June 14, 1962. According to the liner notes, the personnel on this date were McLean, Kenny Dorham, Sonny Clark, Butch Warren, and Billy Higgins. The Penguin Guide, however, states that the bassist on this session was actually Paul Chambers.

Having just listened to this disc for a second or third time on headphones, the bassist sounds like Chambers to me. The solos in particular carry his imprint. So are the liner notes on the disc wrong? Or are my ears off?

It's Paul Chambers.
The liner notes on BLUE NOTE 22669 lists Paul Chambers.

Peace

Blue Note sure has a problem with accuracy in their liners.
