Masahiko Togashi
I picked up this last year after I saw Given say he's bringing it to the next life. It's brilliant:
Then I found this at a small shop in Granite City, IL:
Anyone else a fan? Both these are incredible, the former everyone should have and the latter nearly matches it. Hate, get on this.
EDIT: Other suggestions are most welcome.

"Orange" is the best free ballad ever. Like CT/Lyons/Sunny "The Call" from Montmarte.

Rings is fantastic, I played it before the Otomo/Voice Crack set at the first AMPLIFY at Tonic, and again before one of Tim Barnes' sets at the first ErstQuake. it looks like FE doesn't list it anymore, sadly.

Gotta break down and get Spiritual Moments! I also have the first of the Paris Sessions, with Don Cherry, and it's good but not up to the level of the Mangelsdorff record.
Jon - what's Rings?

There is also a 1984 live recording titled Bura, Bura with Don Cherry, Steve Lacy and Dave Holland that is worth hearing.

BURA BURA is indeed wonderful, as is the first volume of the PARIS SESSIONS, with Don Cherry and Charlie Haden.
Also, see if you can track down a copy of this recently reissued LP:

Jon -- no, unfortunately I've seen no US distributor for this. I also curious to see what other titles are in this reissue "series".

Anyone heard Canto Of Aries?
Upon deeper research his work is officially very difficult to track down.
