I was wondering what that smell was. There was something animalistic about it, so it may well be pet peevishness.

definately a pun intended and indeed, a Freudian slip even though Jack is a convert to a Jungian view of conciousness.
|
I have no idea at all what this thread is about, but I will say that wherever something is claimed to be both an intended pun and a Freudian slip, we're definitely dealing with a Jungian.

No, I think it's the abundance of non-sequitors that was the culprit. To rid them of their untutored aroma you need a "sic," like this: "an abundance of non-sequitors (sic)."

Lois--the thread in question is here:
http://www.jazzcornertalk.com/speake...ad.php?t=15797
Petranich is supposedly the author of an article attacking Jason Moran & hymning Jack Reilly, which was formerly on Reilly's site (he has since deleted it). There was some discussion in another JC thread about whether or not he's just a pseudonym of Reilly's.

Stan Tracy (sic) is not a jazz player, stuff like that. His main influences are Ellington and Monk but he's not a jazz player.

Well, first of all, "analagy," "ingrediants," and "ingrediant" again must've slipped by your proofreaders.
Second, in knowingly misspelling the word "Europeons" for ostensible effect, Herr Reilly somehow managed to misspell his mispelling.

Hey Giovanni--since you seem to be busy fixing typos, maybe you could fix the misspelling of Misha Mengelberg's name too.
