Accepting requests for Montreal Jazz Fest.

Hi Everyone,

It's unavoidable, and it happens. Just before a concert there will be a handful of fans who email Paul with a request to play something. So, this time he started an online contest asking his fans to suggest a repertoire for his next performance at the Montreal International Jazz Festival on Sat, July 8th.

For simply requesting a favourite song your entry could win a prize package for 2 sponsored by Tourism Montreal and le Festival International de Jazz de Montreal.

Contest ends June 7th and the winner will be announced June 8th. To enter the contest and make your song request visit
Paul's website at www.paultobey.com

You can view the entries of requests that have been posted since the contest was launched on May 9th
at ==> http://paultobey.com/montrealjazzfest

I'm certain some people on this list probably have a really great idea of what will sound wonderful for solo piano. It would be great to hear from you.

Thanks & Good Luck
Nance

From Paul's web site:
Have you ever wondered whatever happened to the great piano era? Whatever happened to the likes of Liberace, Victor Borge and great Canadians like Franks Mills and Haygood Hardy. Well, let us introduce you to the extraordinary talent and showmanship of Paul Tobey.

What can you expect from a Paul Tobey concert? No two shows are ever the same. Each is inspired and created for individual audiences. Paul performs timeless classics with an exciting newness! His showmanship combined with his masterful command of the keys makes you feel like you got more than you bargained for.

Yeah I know. The web copy is obviously targeted for non jazz folks, more specifically to the piano lover demographic ...and sells tickets to shows. However, did you see the jazz reviews?
