Let's face it: nobody posts here

Aren't there more people interested in this stuff?

Probably not. But then again, I was busy this past week and before today my last post was on the cd vs vinyl thread last Friday. Upon my return to JC, I figured there would be a lot to read. Nada except for Reynolds talking about rotting flesh.

Well, a bunch of the most interesting threads here disappeared in digital limbo awhile back, and at least a couple that "should" or "could" be here are over on Speak Out.

Be patient, new members on the way.

I just joined today after recieving a spam e-mail. My first reaction, seeing that this is sponsored by Bose was to send them back an e-mail asking to be taken off of their list and to question what Bose and music have to do with each other. (Do they belong in the same sentance?)

Hours later, I decided to check out their e mail and view the site. I joined. My point is that perhaps there will be others that will follow my suit. Who knows?

Yeah, Bose is crap. Have you seen the Bose FAQ?

I browsed your site regarding Bose FAQ

And all I can say is great. You consider Bose a large company that has excellent customer service. I can name many small companies that deal with ULTRA high end audio that have PERFECT customer service. Tube Research Labs comes to mind. So does Magico. You most likely haven't heard of these companies unless you spend much time researching ultra audio products.

I do agree with you, though. Bose does not equate to audio quality, nor faithful reproduction. The Ford Motor Corporation has an excellent customer service base, this does not mean that I wish to own one.

Best regards,
Tubemeister

I don't even consider Bose. I just posted that FAQ for laughs.
I run a Rogue amp and preamp. I know all about the little guy with great customer service.
I could care less if I have heard of every company out there.
Linn, Rogue, PS Audio and B&W are all doing me just fine.

and what is this ULTRA obsession?
I looked up Tube Research Labs and I doubt you'll find anyone here with monoblocks that are in that price range. I guess anything less isn't ULTRA.

Do not take it wrong. My statement was that it doesn't take a large company to make excellent customer service. There are ULTRA high end companies that most will never know about. You won't hear about them because they don't have 5 dealers in the US, so the magazines fail to inform us about them. There are exceptions, such as Andy Payor with Rockport, who sells direct and still has fair coverage.
