Happy 60th to Hayley Mills.....

...who turned 60 y/o this past May. Born 1946.

Pollyanna is 60?

Hayley Mills - The male Baby Boomers pre-adolescent heart-throb.

I was an Annette Funicello man, myself.

Be that as it may; Happy Birthday, Hayley.

You must be just a bit older than I am. The Annette fans always seem to now be edging toward 60 y/o. By the time I was old enough to appreciate Annette, she was pretty much off the scene.

I know guys who even watched the Mickey Mouse Club just for Annette.

When I had my video store, I had guys coming in and completely, w/o embarassment, tell me they were looking for a handful of Hayley Mills films to complete their collection.

I was about 9 or 10 when I saw Pollyanna and I was sooooo smitten! Exactly the type that pre-ad boys went ga ga over.

As a kid, her movie "the Parent Trap" (in which she played long lost and then reunited identical twins) was one of my favoriteS.

It's interesting to me that the old Parent Trap, which is, IMHO, a much worse movie than the newer one, with Lohan, does (at least) try to titillate the adolescent boys with lots of bathing suit scenes of Hayley and even a panty scene. Good old Walt Disney. The new one--with a younger star--doesn't go that route at all.

What's a thread like this without illustration? You rock on, Hayley.

There is slightly later Hayley Mills film (1964)...a superb film called THE CHALK GARDEN....which has her on the beach with Deborah Kerr and has Hayley in very casual attire in which she generously bends over and gives the audience an enticing view of her very tasty and now 18 y/o figure.

The 8-yr-old here is smitten with Mills (via The Parent Trap). Hey, happy 60th Hayley.
