All the instructions force a result that's divisible by 9. All multiples of nine on the board have the same symbol. Voila!

Yeah, I've seen this one before, in a different form, though. It fucked my head up for a while before I figured it out.

Cheers Brian - I see now - they sneakily rearrange the symbols each time so the same symbol doesn't pop up all the time.
