JIM ZIEGLER AT CAMP HOLLYWOOD w. JSO & MMR

JIM ZIEGLER AT CAMP HOLLYWOOD!

With the Jonathan Stout Orchestra and with Mora's Modern Rhythmists!

Jim Ziegler, the trumpet king of Swing and leader of his own band, THE SWINGSATIONS, will be featured on 2 succeeding nights at dances at the world famous CAMP HOLLYWOOD, now in its 9th great year, and held at the LAX Marriott in Los Angeles!

On Thursday night, Jim will be featured with the super sensational Jonathan Stout Orchestra featuring Hilary Alexander! The JSO will have all their best players on the bandstand that night and that includes Ziggy! The JSO plays so many great and lesser heard hits of the 30s and 40's...all with a full sized Swing orchestra! Jimmy the Z is certain to be featured on several numbers and will be singing as well as playing! You can't go wrong with any Zig song!

The very next night, Friday, JZ will be featured with the great and legendary MORA'S MODERN RHYTHMISTS! Jim Ziegler has been holding down a sweet and hot chair in MMR for years now! It would not be the same without him. And, for sure, he will be playing, soloing and singing.....vocalizing solo and in duet with the band's wonderful female songstress, Kayre Morrison!

CAMP HOLLYWOOD is a four day and four night event featuring Swing dance lessons, contests and some of the best live Swing band dances LA can ever hope to see and hear.

All dances begin at 9:00 p.m. and run until 12:30 a.m.

For all sorts of information, go to http://www.camphollywood.net

And for more Jim Ziegler and the Swingsations information and audio clips, head on over to http://cdbaby.com/cd/swingsations2 where you can hear cuts from the newest SWINGSATIONS CD and read about Jim's upcoming gigs!

Be sure to order THE SWINGSATIONs *NEW* CD - "Swingers and Novelties - Featuring a Tribute to Don Redman". You can hear clips from both of Jim's Swingsations CDs at http://cdbaby.com/cd/swingsations2 as listed above...and here, too.

That's all!

My advice for any big band Swing fan is to head over to the big dance on Thursday night.

Jonathan Stout has all his "A" call men on hand and on the stand.

Some of these names may not be familiar to you, but these guys are masters of their horns. No neo Swing players these. And Hilary Alexander is heavily influenced by the singing of Anita O'Day. And what a babe!

Here is the line up for the JSO for Thursday night-

Russ Reinberg -clar
Jim Jedeikin - alt
Phil Krawzak - alt
Albert Alva - tnr
Ron Dzuibula - tnr
Bill Dowling - trpt
Jim Zeigler - trpt
Barry Anthony - trpt
Dan Weinstein - tbn / hot violin
David Stout - tbn
Christopher Dawson - pno
Wally Hersom - bass
Josh Collazo - drums

Jonathan Stout - leader and guitar
Hilary Alexander - vocals

Stout
Alva
Ziegler
Krawzak
Reinberg
Anthony
Weinstein
Dawson
and
Collazo

are all amazing players! Josh Collazo is one of the youngest and greatest drummers you will ever hear with a big band. He must be all of 25 y/o by now....and Jonathan Stout is about the same age....sitting up there playing amplified guitar as if it were the late 30's and early 40's again.

When he is on the mood, JS will call out solo after solo and...if the man is really riding high...chorus after chorus. It is SO fantastic to hear a big Swing band play "Flyin' Home" and have a tenor man like Albert Alva just keep roaring on and on.

Well worth the night and expense out.
