Grammy winner and jazz legend Charlie Haden performs at the River Run Centre on Thursday Aug. 31 at 8 p.m. in what's being described as his only area appearance in 2006.
Accompanying Haden is Ernie Watts on saxophone, Alan Broadbent on piano and Rodney Green on drums, a news release said. The tour is to promote the latest album by the Charlie Haden Liberation Music Orchestra, Not in Our Name. Haden won a Grammy award in 2005 for the best Latin jazz performance on Land of the Sun.
