JIM ZIEGLER with the CAMPUS FIVE AT THE DERBY THIS SUNDAY !
JIM ZIEGLER will be once more featured with that fine small swing band, the Campus Five, lead by guitarist Jonathan Stout, featuring Hilary Alexander on vocals and the ever present Jim Ziegler on trumpet and his always welcome jazz vocal.
It's happening at the world famous Derby this Sunday night August 27th at 9 pm and ten little dollars gets you in the door.
There no better way to spend a hot August night than listening and dancing to hot Swing music.
"Gentleman Jim" will be up there wailing on his hot Jazz and Swing solos until Mr. Stout calls him out for a vocal or two or more. Fine singing and swinging in that 'Ziggy' style that goes over with all the people! Ask him to sing, "I've Got a Right to Sing the Blues" and you'll realize why he does and why he does it. Don't let that happy face fool you. When Jimmy's got the blues....they are low down and gotta come out. Then he's happy again! And shows it by blowing the roof off the house with that hot horn o' plenty.
Think I'm kidding? Go check it out!
The Campus Five plays some of the best of the small group jazz and swing of the 30s and 40s with Hilary Alexander adding grandeur with her vocalizing on pop and uptempo numbers!
Jim Ziegler has his seasonal and seasoned mighty hot horn ready to go! Hear his vocals! Dig that trumpet! All the boys in the band will be on hand. How about you?
and.......
Be sure to order THE SWINGSATIONs *NEW* CD - "Swingers and Novelties - Featuring a Tribute to Don Redman". You can hear clips from both of Jim's Swingsations CDs at
