Peter Registered User Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: New York City Posts: 19	Benny Carter R.I.P Benny Carter died this past Saturday in Los Angeles, just short of his 96th birthday. A giant of jazz in every respect, a great alto saxophonist, trumpet player, arranger, composer, and bandleader. He will be sorely missed.
