This one's pretty cool. It's Saturn's moon Hyperion. The interesting thing about it is that it resembles some of the comets that have been seen up close. Btw, no one predicted comets would look this way.
Many of the galaxies, with structure, in this shot are more than two billion light years distant.
This image shows geysers backlit by the sun. Enceladus is too small to have any heat left over from its formation, and yet in one region the surface temperatures are near freezing. Under that area liquid water exists, and results in geysers.
