Duke Ellington's Third Sacred Concert

Does anyone know if a recording of this concert is currently in print?

I’m not positive, but I don’t think it was ever out on CD. My vinyl copy is on RCA it’s catalog number is APL 1-0785, if you want to try and find the LP. Hope this helps.
Peace.

If you can’t find a copy, say so her, and I’ll get my Grandson to make a copy. I’m new to this computer business. I have burned a lot of things in my life, but never a CD

It was in the OJCCD catalog for a long time. I got the Second which was always my favorite.

Sherman, if you would have your grandson burn a copy, I would be most grateful and more than willing to pay for postage or any other costs incurred. Thank you for the offer. A new friend of mine was telling me about a song from that concert called (if I recall correctly) something like "My Love." He played and sang it for me and I absolutely loved the composition---a deep art song with the soul of a great jazz ballad. He raved about this concert and said that he didn't think it was on cd and that very few people are aware of it. I only knew about it in passing (certainly in no way "aware") from reading about Ellington but I have never heard it.

That song intrigues me though, as did my friend's obvious deep love for this record.

Thanks for your offer of help, Sherman.

It's on the RCA Centennial Edition from 1999, too. Perhaps they might have a copy at the local library. Sorry I'm a bit late.

Cheers,

Rob
