Willie Williams

I just last night saw one of the most astonishing tenor sax players I've ever heard, Willie Williams, who is a regular member of the T.S. Monk band. The man is fantastic.

Trombonist Papo Vasquez used to make an appearance here once in a while, and Willie has been with Pirates & Troubadours for a while.

Williams also has a few CD's in his own name, but none since, maybe the early 90's that I'm aware of. I have one and it's a fine hard-bop oriented recording.

Mike:

Willie told me that his CDs were out of print, but I was able to order two of them from Amazon.com third party dealers.
