Afternoon Lull
I'm feeling a lack of entertainment coming from JC right now - can somebody fix that for me? I'm bored but hogtied.

I just finished the first draft of a 2,500 word brochure for a difficult client that I've been working on exclusively since Monday morning. I wish I was a golden-age-of-TV-type businessman with a bottle of scotch in his desk drawer, as I could use a drink right about now.
Actually, it's 3pm my time, which means my circadian rhythms are at their daily low. Good time to get a Charleston Chew.

oh - is that what hogtied means??? Sheesh not since I been on C*O*P*S (glad that experience is over).
No I meant chained to the desk. Meant I'm bored yet I can't do anything to become unbored at the moment because I am stuck here but so long very very much to go home. I'm bored in the why can't it please be Friday kind of way in a is that all there is kind of way I certainly didn't mean to suggest anything indecent or untoward.

I'm all tapped out this week, Tippz.
The Abbey brotherhood whipped my ass. I need some down time to recover.
But you can witness the carnage on the last few pages of the EAI thread if you need a pick me up.

sounds good, Scott. Maybe I'll look that up. Have some tea with us. Do you know what I think is the most amazing show EVER that the Sopranos pales in comparison? DEADWOOD. I am positively obsessed. I will watch it over and over. I love how they talk - it is so freakin' hilarious. Don't tell me anything about season 3 though. puhleeze don't. oh yeah I was reading an online review of Deadwood where this numskull called the antisemitism on the show anachronistic...I thought that was really weird. I mean was antisemitisim invented in the 20th century? Very weird. Also weird that that was chiefly what he had to say about the show and then went on to list all the jewish producers etc. and anyone jewish associated with the show like it was Deadwood's secret conspiracy to influence people - I mean do you think that guy had issues or what that that's what he came away with from the show??? Freakazoid.
Also what makes me upset is what those teenagers did to that guy in the Bowling Alley. I don't know how people do stuff like that. I really don't. What would possess them.

Larry's high school drama club photo.

tippy, that pre-dates Fabio. That was a Helmut Newton photograph that came with their Women And Children First record. It was really controversial at the time.

Honestly, I think that is the best photo that anyone has ever posted at Jazz Corner. It's funny but it's also more than funny. Well done.

It was always a tacit assumption on my part that Larry was a closet Sebastian Bach fan. Nice to see it confirmed.

No WAY that's the secret identity of the guy behind the theme from Welcome Back Kotter??? No way - he's hot. I figured he must have had a face for radio.

on the off chance Tippy isn't kidding (and if she is, she got me):
John Sebastian, formerly of Lovin' Spoonful=Welcome Back Kotter theme
Sebastian Bach=hair metal mediocrity

Thanks, Jon. It was all I could do not to clarify that, just in case. Glad you took the initiative, because I probably wouldn't have.

I knew it was too good to be true. I'm rather disappointed that Brian would introduce a photo like that and then not cleanup the fallout from my mistaken impression. Rather irresponsible of him and I must admit I'm surprised because I didn't expect such, ahem, *common* behavior from him.
Wasn't Sebastian one of the sons of Ozzie and Harriet Nelson though?
