Records you love that no one else loves

I can't remember if there's been a thread like this before, but surely everyone must have a couple of records that ONLY they seem to love? I can think of a couple of my own:

Talking Heads--Naked


Pink Floyd--The Final Cut


I love 'em, but everyone I know who's a big fan of either band seems to hate 'em.

I'll just toss the obvious ones out there. Every Bruce Hornsby album. Every Jimmy Buffett album except Somewhere Over China, Riddles In The Sand, and Hot Water. Even I can't stomach those three turds.

Also many of the Neil Young albums that people consider terrible or at least not notable, I really like at least a couple songs: Landing on Water, Life, Broken Arrow, Silver & Gold, Looking Forward (CSNY), Hawks & Doves, Re-ac-tor, etc.

I kind of like 'Street Legal' too, but I can't explain why.

Yeah. I know people think it's a big bummer (which I guess it is), and it's musically pretty odd, but I think it's one of the most emotionally affecting rock records I've ever heard. Operatic.

I know what you mean. The problem there isn't really the font, I don't think though, it's that the spacing and gridlines from Access databases aren't maintained when they're copied here. Sorry.

As some might have noticed over time, I'm a huge TTD fan ... It bombed at the box office, but I've loved it since Day 1. Perhaps the best R&B record I've heard in the last 17 years or so. And the guy's still making great stuff.

Right!

And the overall atmosphere is very cold. Man, I just fucking LOVE it! Granted, you kinda need to be in the mood to hear it, but when you are that puppy really shines. The Gunners Dream is on of the finest tunes they ever made. Two Suns In The Sunset as well.

Don't know it. I don't actually have that much Corea. The above I basically grew up with, along with RTF stuff - I didn't follow his stuff in the 90s.
