Last year one girl asked me for an extra Laffy Taffy, so I got more this year!
This year I think I did notice some disappointment with the Wonka selection I handed out.
I ended up hoarding the good chocolate for my real friends. If you're nice, Tippy...

Who are those guys?
I like "Chewy Sprees". Not really Halloween candy, but you know...
I agree about dum dums. That's usually the lame sortof candy they have in a doctor's waiting room for the "kiddies". I always figured they got a lifetime supply free somehow and put it out. That's throw away candy.

I gave out 200 bags of assorted candy and 60 extra candy bars and then at least 10 handfuls of taffy a friend brought over. Halloween is HUGE in my neighborhood (and by the time it's over, so am I or at least it feels that way).
My favorite this year? Rolo.

Butterfingers - No YES!! What's wrong with you, woman?!? Too sweet - doesn't taste anything like real peanut butter unlike... I just ate three mini-Butterfingers. "Too sweet" is an oxymoron. What can you possibly have against sweetness, glorious sweetness?!?!
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - YES YES YES Well, yeah, but you didn't mentione them the first time, did you now? YES!!!
Peanut Chews - YES! Nah. Yuh HUH! Nuh-uh
Nerds - NO! What the hell are Nerds? You're not missing anything OK
Laffy Taffy - No Eh. see above I did
tin foil wrapped poor quality chocolate in novelty shapes - NO! Agreed QED PDQ
3 Musketeers - No YES. I mean, seriously. That fluff!! WAY TOO SWEET. Absolutely not! Jeez, like you have something against cavities...
M&Ms - of course Yep.Jolly Rancher - if you must Apple and Watermelon, only. Good flavor choices Why, thank you.
Smarties - you tell me but of course. I am the AntiSmartie (er, wait...) Wait. You don't like Smarties? Have I misjudged you so absolutely?
Dum dums - if you have to ask... Dunno what they are... tiny lollipops with strange flavors and a bad name I'll pass.

I don't like candy any more, but when I did I'd have eaten any of the above which don't contain coconut.

Really, Brian, its delicious milk chocolate and they have a whole almond! Why are you so being difficult about this?
Twix - yes No. yes No
Okay, you can have this one - but did you ever try PEANUT BUTTER twix? Awesome but I haven't seen them in some time.
Fess up: you're still picking those butterfingers out of your teeth, aren't you??
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - YES YES YES Well, yeah, but you didn't mentione them the first time, did you now? YES!!!
No, I didn't. Aren't you glad I - at least - remembered? You didn't add anything to the list now did you? Nice imagination, mr. sine waive
Peanut Chews - YES! Nah. Yuh HUH! Nuh-uh
Sorry, you must not know what I'm talking about - it's covered in dark chocolate, chewy and has a PEANUT? What could you possibly have against this splendid creature?
Nerds - NO! What the hell are Nerds? You're not missing anything OK
Laffy Taffy - No Eh. see above I did
tin foil wrapped poor quality chocolate in novelty shapes - NO! Agreed QED PDQ
3 Musketeers - No YES. I mean, seriously. That fluff!! WAY TOO SWEET. Absolutely not! Jeez, like you have something against cavities...
Still trying to get that butterfinger out of your molars, aren't you?
M&Ms - of course Yep.
Jolly Rancher - if you must Apple and Watermelon, only. Good flavor choices Why, thank you.
Ah, some gratitude. How refreshing.
Smarties - you tell me but of course. I am the AntiSmartie (er, wait...) Wait. You don't like Smarties? Have I misjudged you so absolutely?
It's not chocolate - wasted calories. Starbursts at least have the texture thing going for them. Smarties got nothing except they stack neatly (and are CHEAP) which has got nothing to do with how they taste. And I thought I knew YOU!
Dum dums - if you have to ask... Dunno what they are... tiny lollipops with strange flavors and a bad name I'll pass.

I don't eat it anymore either, but...
Brian is correct about Mounds/Almond Joy, and I'm with you on 3 Muskateers as well. I like them frozen.
I would eat a bag of pure coconut before exposing myself to the plastic nothingness of candy corn. Blech.

Yea to Snickers, Starburst, Butterfinger (probably my favorite), Twix, and Gummi anything.
Nay to Three Musketeers (I don't know what "nougat" is, and I don't want to find out), Hershey's (unless it's dark, otherwise too bland) and Almond Joy/Mounds (or anything with coconut). The best thing I ever got on Halloween was homemade Rice Krispie squares, still warm. Yum.
I like Smarties. The packaging, those little cylinders of doom, and the tart taste. If you could get a buzz off of them somehow, they'd be perfect.
My wife raves about those chewier SweeTarts. I haven't had the pleasure.

Only items I enjoy which contain coconut:

Samoas Girl Scout Cookies

Outback Steakhouse Coconut Shrimp

Encountered a new taste sensation the T-or-T'ers brought home:
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups with caramel!
Sounds sacriligeous until you taste one.

Milk chocolate, commerically proferred, is to be avoided. I'm sorry there are simply no two ways about this.

You say this as though it's a bad thing. Few are the delights that can compare to removing a delicious little nugget o' Butterfinger from between one's teeth five minutes after having "finished" it.
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - YES YES YES Well, yeah, but you didn't mentione them the first time, did you now? YES!!!
No, I didn't. Aren't you glad I - at least - remembered? You didn't add anything to the list now did you? Nice imagination, mr. sine waive
I'll let that one pass. This time.
Peanut Chews - YES! Nah. Yuh HUH! Nuh-uh
Sorry, you must not know what I'm talking about - it's covered in dark chocolate, chewy and has a PEANUT? What could you possibly have against this splendid creature?
It's the excessive chewiness. Might as well chocolate coat Mary Janes.
3 Musketeers - No YES. I mean, seriously. That fluff!! WAY TOO SWEET. Absolutely not! Jeez, like you have something against cavities...
Still trying to get that butterfinger out of your molars, aren't you?
Mmmm....Yes...Yes, I said, Yes. Yes. (It's a well known fact that Joyce was addicted to Butterfingers)
Smarties - you tell me but of course. I am the AntiSmartie (er, wait...) Wait. You don't like Smarties? Have I misjudged you so absolutely?

I just pilfered three columns of Smarties from the office post-Halloween bucket. I'm happy to report that they're as scrumptious as ever. Marginally better than Sweet-Tarts. Though my fave columnar candy is still Necco wafers.

Necco wafers--those to me taste so weird and the texture w/ that liittle cloud of whatever that chalky stuff is--it's puts my hair on end just thinking about it.
Chewy sweet tarts are good--but chewy Sprees are even better!
I love frozen milky ways.

You are right - I must concede this point - we wouldn't even be having this conversation were it not for (1) the peeps at the office bringing in candy in combination with (2) the lull. These are boredom eats - curse my weakness!

I dont like candy and really never have. But then again, I dont like chocolate either. Candy corn is the most digusting thing known to man.
I do like the occassional Twizzler, though. Unfortunately, most movie theatres have stopped selling them and replaced it with Red Vines, which is really a travesty.
