US Made Iraqi WMD Data Available on Web
Quote:

"Operation Iraqi Freedom Document Portal," a U.S. web archive of Iraqi documents captured during the war was shut down yesterday after complaints that the detailed accounts of Iraq's pre-1991 secret nuclear research on the site constitute a primer on how to build an atom bomb. According to the New York Times, the campaign for the creation of the website was led by chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Representative Peter Hoekstra of Michigan with his Senate counterpart, Pat Roberts of Kansas, and joined by Rick Santorum and Congressional Republicans who wanted to reinvigorate the search for proof that Saddam had resumed his WMD research before the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.

See this: http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/..._by_frank.html.
This at the same time the White House is refusing to release Cheney's office meeting records because they threaten national security.
These guys are unbelievable...

Deep within the NYT article mentioned above is this astonishing paragraph:
Among the dozens of documents in English were Iraqi reports written in the 1990’s and in 2002 for United Nations inspectors in charge of making sure Iraq abandoned its unconventional arms programs after the Persian Gulf war. Experts say that at the time, Mr. Hussein’s scientists were on the verge of building an atom bomb, as little as a year away.
I'm sorry, did the New York Times just put on the front page that IRAQ HAD A NUCLEAR WEAPONS PROGRAM AND WAS PLOTTING TO BUILD AN ATOMIC BOMB?
The paper has just destroyed three years of myth-making by anti-war activists.

It seems that with the indictments and convictions of those Dick Cheney was in so thick with, that there would be a rush by those trying to protect the VP's reputation to release any and all items which would remove the dark cloud of suspicion which looms over his head, over the heads of all of those in this administration for that matter.
Too much to hide is the general consensus.

Looks like the left's little November Surprise backfired.
Not the brightest bulbs in the pack.

You don't know the difference between 'were' and 'are'? Between "was on the verge of building" and "built"? Who are you really, Bill Clinton?

Spin it baby. Spin it!
A little too late though. Between the comments from that brilliant John Kerry and this NYT backfire I believe it's all over but the shouting
If the left can't even regain the House on Tuesday they may as well move to Canada. At least they have "free" health care there...just like in Cuba...and the literacy rate in Cuba is 99%. Just ask Fidel...
LOL

We all know what Israel would have done to Iraqi scientists and anyone providing the knowledge & materials for nuclear warfare. They would have done exactly what they did when Iraq was in the process of building the largest gun ever built, they would have assasinated the ones doing the science and the work, and they would have destroyed the facilities, just as they did when the big gun, the big cannon was being built; tracking down it's designer, and killing him. They don't do like is being done now. There are no delays. They get to it and rid the threat to themselves. They don't dilly dally around like is going on now, they nip it in the bud, without a bunch of posturing, and giving away their hand.
