Democrats Cleaning Up!
As of this point, they've picked up three Republican Senate seats and three Republican House seats.
This is the beginning of a serious, long-awaited sweep. What I'm most happy about is that the voting systems seem to be working.
And that America is waking up from this six-year nightmare.

We can only hope, RBS.

The nightmare here, continues.

I'm hoping the pay-for-porn channel will have Lisa Murkowski making out with Maria Cantwell later tonight.

I thought you and Katherine Harris were going to re-enact "Back Door Bangers XXXII".

Yes, thank God, so far no elderly Jewish Dem women have reported accidental votes for Pat Buchanan. I guess that only happens in GOP victories, so we're safe. The "machines" are working. Fraud is no concern; the good guys are ahead.

Well, there was talk of fraud and whatnot earlier today.
But it seems to be magically dissapating

Yeah... now.
It only took two presidential elections to get it right....now that Bush can't get re-elected.
Feel free to find some Liberal "scare" in this, Monte.
I am certain there is no possible way this could be true, huh.
And spare me of your obligatory Goody is a moron bullshit, OK?

Somehow, I don't think that Monte is weeping.
It looks like the Corker and Allen will both win and the Republicans will retain the Senate. Things are still fluid but it looks like gridlock, here we come!

Goody, I thought you liked Arnold.
1. He's socially liberal.
2. He's a former steroid user.

How nice for the republicans.
Now they get to blame the Democrats for their own bullshit yet again.
Is there none among you who understand America is not about getting control but about working for all the people?
republicans simply do not know how to do that.

Social Liberal...?
Right.
This would explain how he cut Public education to the f**king BONE, Gordon.
How nurses were summarily abused and police and fire got cut to pieces.
Do you have any idea at all what you are talking about here?

Have they fed Brit Hume some antidepressants? He looked like he had just been mugged around 8:30.

Well, it looks like the House will go Democratic, anyway. This may or may not convince Bush that he does not have a "mandate." He took the '04 results as carte blanche. It will be harder for him this time around. Not that he won't try....

Hahahaha.......
On my cable, Fox is situated between CNN and MSNBC. When I flipped between them I saw old Humey looking like someone shot his dog and ran off with his wife.
Hell, I may just turn it back to Fox for the rest of the night. That might provide the most entertainment!
MSNBC is currently projecting the House 231-204. Oh my! That's even bigger than I thought it would be for the Dems!
Oh, and a side note to my favorite curmudgeon: Liebermann won!!! But if you want to go double or nothing in '08 I'm willing to. This one was too easy.

BREAKING NEWS
November 7th, 11:30 EST
Yes, no waking up with a hangover when you haven't even downed a shot tomorrow. The Dems, early on in the evening, have captured enough seats from the Republicans to assume control of the House.
And if you look at the CNN key race map, they are likely to pick up a whole lot more seats.
Please pinch us. Is it true? The Dems aren't perfect, but generally they are sane. There is much to value in that simple quality: sanity, that is.
Is this how Moses felt after wandering all those years in the desert?
No, nothing will change immediately, but it's a toehold, a big one.
Tonight's developments may have saved our democracy. That is no understatement.
As for the Senate, we are still predicting the Dems will fall short by one or two seats. Remember, if it's 50-50, Cheney breaks the tie.
But, oh sweet joy to bid adieu to Rick "Man on Dog" Santorum. May he find a rehab facility of his choice soon.
And may our prediciton about the Senate prove wrong. Could we handle such joy?

Not here, we're on an antenna, so it will only be on the updates, and I had rather watch someone else like Bob Sheiffer, Jim Lehrer or just about anyone else than him. Seeing him would have been good for a laugh, which is what I couldn't help doing when I read Boston's post. I can just picture it.
Mark Shields, when asked by Jim Lehrer: "Is George Bush going to be a lame duck president?", Mark told him, "He's going to be a dead duck president".
Even if there are deadlocks, it will be better than runaway fascism, and our Constitution being so abused as to be scary.
