The Open Music Circle will meet next on Sunday, November 26th, 2006, at 6:30-8:30 PM at our home, the New York Insight Meditation Center, 28 West 27th Street, 10th fl. (ring buzzer 27 even if the building door is open). All acoustic musicians, vocalists and dancers are welcome.
The Open Music Circle meets regularly on the second and fourth Sunday of each month. There is no musical agenda and no music director.We start in silence, someone begins, then we listen to each other and play, vocalize or move accordingly, and finaly we end the evening with silence. Sometimes we pursue practices to improve our abilities to listen and communicate musically. Each Circle is unique and complete unto itself.
There is a $5-10 donation requested at the end of the evening to pay for the use of the space. Please let us know by reply email by Friday, November 24th, if you intend to attend.
The Open Music Ensemble (the performance arm of the Circle) will perform at the Holiday Fair at the New York Insight Meditation Center, 28 West 27th Street, 10th fl. (buzzer #27) on December 2 in the mid-afternoon. For additional information see
