Does anyone know where I could find Braxton's
Quintet(Basel) '77 and Quartet(Dortmund) '76 CDs on Hatology?

I think they may both be (officially) oop, though I think I may have seen a copy of "Basel" at the Downtown Music Gallery in NYC a few weeks back. Check with them at http://www.dtmgallery.com/Main/index.htm.

If you can't get them I am sure some kind person here would be happy to burn copies for you.

Hey, maybe he/she doesn't want a burn!

If I still have my copy of Basel and I can find it, I'll sell it to you for fitty. Neither of those is a slam dunk, though. Dortmund, I'm keeping.

Walto's offer of $50 isn't too bad for Basel- a copy on ebay would get more than that now. Dortmund was going for more than double that before the last reissue, don't know what it would be going for now.

I have copies of both that I would be willing to part with for less than the figures being quoted in this thread. I'd even trade them away for two other discs that interested me. PM me if you want to talk. They are both good discs in my opinion but I just don't listen to much Braxton anymore.

FWIW, Dortmund is available as a digital copy on various peer-to-peer sharing networks. I don't know about Basel.
