Rollhead--
I'm tired. Help me out, okay?
The images in #1 and #3 are actual pages from the book, but the image in #2 is a parody, which is to say a forgery? If so, that's much too subtle for some of us.

Yeah, I'll stand by that surmise.
Fascinating. I'd heard of Why Mommy Is a Democrat and assumed that Democrats had responded to it favorably. Not necessarily, I see; the author, Jeremy Zilber, has been accused of everything from foolishly reinforcing canards about the Democrats to being a right-wing plant. Less surprisingly, right-wing websites have had a field day with the book.
Here's an entry that Zilber posted at MyDD, which is a liberal, pro-Democratic blog:
http://www.mydd.com/story/2006/2/24/115129/798
Comments follow. That's from February; I don't know how the response has shaken out since then, at MyDD or elsewhere.

When I look at the image in post #1, I see a man begging on a park bench, ignored by the prosperous squirrel family, while the text says Democrats share. When I look at the image in post #3, I see that Mommy Squirrel "goes to school," presumably to the high-priced college pictured in the background--in other words, Democrats are rich elitists who can afford to bring up kids *and* spend $160,000 a year in tuition for Mommy to go to school. If these are really images from his book, then clearly Jeremy Zilber is disingenuous in the extreme.
Or perhaps all three of these images are parodies. Rollhead?

For an argument? It's being hit on the head lessons in here. Arguments are down the hall, to your left.
One good non-sequitir deserves another!

Blue --
I wasn't really thinking too much about the meaning of the posts, other than I found both the original and the "parody" to be funny.
both pretty ridiculous in their own, separate, ways.

VH's posts suggests some history with this board under another alias, but I don't believe it's Scott.

I'm with both of you. I have a different theory, which I plan to report.
Rollhead--
Thanks. You didn't confirm my surmise about which ones were real, but I've since been to the author's website and seen the two real ones there.

Definitely ain't Scott. He took his ball and went home, has no plans to return (or so he says).
