What Other Music are you Writing?

I am combining my love for Richard Wagner and Terry Riley in the new composition I am working on, tentatively titled "Kill the Wabbit -- In C"

Three months ago, I wrote a song for my baby, "Stella Rose". Now I'm working on another, called "I'm Growing A Tooth."

Actually, it goes more like this:

I’m Growing A Tooth

Something is pushing up out of my gums
I can feel it hurting more the faster it comes
If you want to know the honest truth
I think that I’m growing a tooth

Maybe you have heard about the teething rule
For weeks and weeks and months and months you start to drool
That is something common to both elderly and youth
It means that I’m growing a tooth

Now I can’t tell a lie though I’ve heard a lot of whoppers
I can’t wait until I get a mouth full of choppers
Cause when they fall out, from the Tooth Fairy booth
I can get a dollar a tooth

When I get a tooth I’m gonna brush it every day
It’s easy to floss, no other teeth in the way
I’ll flick it with my tongue, though it may be uncouth
I’m so proud I’m growing a tooth

It’s hard to sleep at night cause my gums hurt bad
At least I get to share a midnight snack with my Dad
He doesn’t seem happy to tell you the truth
That his baby’s growing a tooth

When I get my tooth I’m gonna put it to the test
I’m gonna bite down on my poor mother’s breast
And then I’ll thmile ath thilly ath a gooth
I’m tho glad I got me a tooth

I'm writing a lot. I hate writing songs. The only good thing about songwriting is being done with a song. 9 times out of 10 I decide it's shit and throw it away. Then I start again. I'm writing a lot. I hate writing songs. The only good thing...

GG ought to dig this one. It's got kind of an XTC vibe.

Complicated Play Date

Little Jimmy stayed up too late
Now his whining, it starts to grate
His pal Danny can't relate

CHORUS
It's a ... complicated play date
Wound up wild ones in such a state
For this complicated play date

Too few Hot Wheels to go around
VCR's making a grinding sound
Who called 9-1-1 downtown?

CHORUS

Jelly jelly splashed everywhere
Tommy has a headless bear
Cindy's dancing, she doesn't care

CHORUS
