The labels we've been listening to.

There's only one label that I'm sure I've been listening to. It has to be the small folk music label that for many years ended all their recordings with birdsong (fuglesang). Birdsong from a bird called "heilo"

Others will claim that they've been listening to ecm reverb for decades.

I'm idly curious - are we supposed to understand your post? I can't tell, but am interested enough to ask.

You're free to interpret it any way you want to. Who knows where a JC thread goes.

Since you asked: It was "inspired" by a thread that was posted a couple of hours ago with a heading like "the most listened to jazz label" - or something like that. It may have been deleted or sensored by now.
I rephrased that title a little and now we have a thread about signature sounds or signature recording engineering, or aspect of the music that ends up like a signature for a label like:
"High frequency tones and white noise/hiss are the signature sounds of eai; they have great potential to become clichés if not used sparingly and creatively." (allaboutjazz review of 4G - Cloud).
Further: What is a jazz musician without a personal signature sound.
