If you are interested in supporting a truly positive educational program, check out The 13th Annual Houston International Jazz Festival August 1-3, 2003. Sponsored by Jazz Education, Inc. a non-profit community-based organization, the event is the culmination of a six-week intensive jazz workshop. On three campuses, school-aged children from all over the world learn the fundamentals of jazz in a classroom setting. In its 30-year history, the workshop has produced a number of professional educators, jazz musicians and individuals from all walks of life. In addition, the program boasts over 8,000 graduates since inception.
