"Allure" Magazine shout-out to sonic1 (I think)

I was looking at this month's "Allure" magazine and they had an article on "destination spas" etc. Well, they mentioned the "Miravel" spa in Arizona and said that the "must have" treatment is a walking masssage by Jared and that "he's surprisingly light". Isn't that Jared our own beloved Sonic!!???

Lois, can you fix my thread title so "Magazine" isn't misspelled? Thanks.

Yes, that was me. I am not sure why she thought I was surprizingly light, since I am pretty "sinewey", and only thinly muscular. God, do I have to go puke up my dinner...will it all go to my ass?

BTW I am not really on the board for the Matt Bevel Institute anymore-- been too busy for that. I am mostly busy with Flam-Chen (www.flam-chen.com), parenthood, working, and school.

Thanks for the shout out though.

Nope. Though everyone has been to it. Most of us feel like Burning Man is just a slight notch above Mardi Gras. Lots of drunk idiots. We really just do our own thing. Think Kabuki theator times Cirque du soliel with fire.

Interesting. I've had reason to read a lot of online stuff about Burning Man, but all of it was from gung-ho Burners' perspective.

I checked out Flam-Chen's website a long time ago. I'd love to see y'all.

There are some great video clips on our myspace page. We keep it more up to date because people seem more into myspace these days than webpages. Plus we don't have to pay designers and stuff.

Thanks. I'll probably save the video clips for when I have DSL instead of dialup, which I hope will be soon.

Ah, jesus....you're still on dialup? God, we ought to have a fundraiser for you. That is terrible. I didn't think anyone did dialup anymore.

I used to see Flam-Chen all the time. I think I told you Jared I saw you guys on Valentines Day, god it must have been '99, when someone shot that flaming arrow towards the guy on stilts with the target, but missed, and the flaming arrow went over the Institute into the parking lot. I thought you were going to set some cars on fire and blow the whole place up.

Also I remember the pasties on fire that one of you used to twirl from your nipples. You sick fuckers.

Yeah, I am beginning to feel like the last person to have dialup. That's really sweet, but the proceeds from a fundraiser would have to go toward my ridiculously astronomical medical bills. Chances are that I'll get DSL soon, though.
