Zoom: GUILLERMO KLEIN

More Info & Tickets

"Whether he appears to be drawing from boleros, baroque music, ragas or Wayne Shorter, hes risking a bit, and going after the transcendental moment." —The New York Times

Guillermo Klein embraces many musical worlds. Not only does he draw from the Argentine folkloric melodies of his home, he culls influences from the cutting-edge music he heard while living in the United States. In this rare US appearance, Klein presents a world premiere for two pianos with Jorge Rossy, called Tetris Suite, followed by the NY premiere of Diminished Suite featuring guitarist Ben Monder, saxophonist Bill McHenry, bassist Matt Pavolka, and Rossy, who doubles on drums.

Part of the Sunnyside Records 25th Anniversary Celebration.
