Rick: You know what I want to hear.
Sam: No, I don't.
Rick: You played it for her, you can play it for me!
Sam: Well, I don't think I can remember...

"Such a pretty girl."
John Saxon, in "The Unforgiven".
He was talking to a wild horse as he was walking up on the rope on her. He made me think he really is a cowboy. He was realistic and good, but he was born in Brooklyn I hear. We were parked in Century City's mall in California, in the underground parking garage, and he pulled up and parked next to us as I was waiting for Rich to come back. John went in and shopped, coming out carrying what looked like groceries. I started to say hello and quote him, but didn't. I knew it was him before he even turned around, as he has such a distinct way about him that even from the back I knew it was him. He was driving a sliver Mercedes sedan and wearing a pale gray suit. In cowboy clothes or dressed to the nines, he still looks great, or did in 1997. Rich was in his cowboy clothes and he was looking at us and we were looking at him. He was wondering who we were in that area dressed like that. Probably thought Rich was a wrangler or an extra on some set, but we were in our crew cab PU with Oregon plates, so then he looked puzzled.

Excalibur, Jon Boorman (1981).
Character-Merlin speaking to Character-Uter Pendragon:
"I have walked my way since the beginning of Time. Sometimes I give, sometimes I take: it is mine to know which and when!"
The french version of the movie on DVD is more 'evolved' in my view:
"Je vais mon chemin depuis le Commencement des Temps. Parfois je donne, parfois je prends: à moi de décider à qui et quand!"
= "I have walked my way since the beginning of Times. Sometimes I give, sometimes I take: it is MINE to decide to whom and when!"
