Scott Dolan

Scott and his alter ego Ric Flair have been merged and Scott is now back on the board.

The whole premise of Jazzcorner is that we all work together, behave civilly to each other and respect to the right to disagree w.o. personal attacks.

BTW - you might have noticed a new admin here named Rachel G. Rachel is an old friend, and has right of admin to merge threads, ban posters with discussion with me, change thread titles, etc. All PMs though should still come to me as well as email.

Thanks for the start of a whole new jazzcorner experience beginning March 1.

Thanks for making JazzCorner such a wonderful place to come be with friends and talk everything from Jazz to baseball to cooking and all points in between.

You're a good person, Lois.

You're a good person too, Timothy. However, I still think that Barry Bonds and O.J. Simpson prevaricate very frequently.

I still can't believe I was Ric. Ric was I. How did this happen?!

Though it does explain why I ended everything I said with "WOOO!!!!" for the last couple of months. Kelly found it to be quite irritating. But Mr. Pootz was digging it.

In the late 80's I had a patient who spoke and wrote in a manner bizarrely similar to the above. In the mid 90's he found another anomaly. Welcome back, Mr. Dolan.

Only in America can a guy Ban Himself For Life But Keep Posting Anyway, then get "welcomed back".

You're a whore, Dolan. A dirty, slutty little whore.

And that's one of your *better* traits.

Correction, I did not ban myself for life.

Lois banned me, and said it was permanent.

I made a statement here that was insulting to her, and quite classless.

She and I have had a lot of conversation about it, and have come to a meaningful resolution. And she has allowed me back into the fold.

For however long it takesm I suppose.

A buddy and I just got back from a solo piano performance by Fred Hersch. It was really enjoyable!!

My buddy took a pic of myself and Master Hersch that didn't come out, but I have to say he is one hell of a nice cat. And the concert was outstanding!!

He's been on the program twice.

Where was the concert?

Columbia, Missouri.

A sweet little Jazz club called Murry's.

I had an ass stomping appetizer of shrimp and artichoke. Followed by some wild mushroom pilaf hullabaloo. Good times.

His set was fairly short, about an hour and 20 minutes. But the music was unbelievable! He did a few original pieces of his, but the most noteworthy was the piece he opened the show with which was a piece that he dedicated to Billy Strayhorn.

The concert was for a local group called RAIN which does hospice-type work here in mid-Mizzou. Mostly for AID's patients and other STD related issues.

My buddy is on the board of directors for the group, and he was the one who turned me on to this performance.

Ric Flair?? Never heard of him. Dolan, on the other hand, is a legend in his own time. Welcome back, Scott, you rascal, you! It will be an even greater pleasure to ban myself for life and keep posting with you on the board!

I'm gonna miss Ric. I feel like Jessica Lange in Tootsie after Dustin Hoffman outed himself.

This is one nutty jazz board!

Scott can ban himself for life whenever he wants for as long as he wants or as often.

I agree.

But at least I now have some kind of explanation about my newly found love of feather boas.
