gonzo, you're probably too young, but have you ever heard of a funk band from Bakersfield called Union Pacific? They were hot in the 70's. Their lead vocalist/saxophonist, Roger, is living there now, I think.
They left Bakersfield and went to Hawaii, where they became hugely popular, then came to Alaska during the pipeline construction days, and were an enormous hit here, too.

OK, kids, I'm headed for bed.
I've enjoyed the past two days celebrating life with my partner of 42+ years, and want to sleep on good thoughts.
Good night~

Nofuckingbody's cranky here. In fact, all of us level-headed people are especially
at peace this morning at the news that Ron Artest has rejoined the Kings.
Kumbaya, motherfuckers.

I want to advise you that the term "cranky mother" is already being used and not available for use by male gendered persons. Feel free to identify yourselves as cranky mother f*&^%#$ which is probably more accurate anyway.

Thank you Lynn. I know I always treasured that designation judging by the fact that my girls didn't commit some malfeasances because I was capable of being a very cranky mother they tell me now.
Insanity is always a possible segue from just being cranky.
The alternative that you suggested is the correct unisex term and should never be confused with the title we mothers proudly wear.
