Red Bank Jazz & Blues Festival (NJ)

The 21st annual Red Bank Jazz & Blues Festival, presented by Washington Mutual Bank, will take place from June 1 through June 3, festival organizers announced today.

Taking place in Marine Park, the festival offers three full days and nights of jazz, blues, food, crafts and family activities.

Nearly 150,000 people are expected to attend the event, one of the largest free music and food festivals on the East Coast.

The headliner for June 1 is Shore-based guitarist Billy Hector. The June 2 headliner is Big Bill Morganfield, son of legendary blues guitarist Muddy Waters. Closing night headliner is Joey DeFrancesco, also known as the "Master of the Hammond B3 Organ."

The festival also includes a broad sampling of the top area restaurants, artisans and crafts people as well as a children's area.

The Red Bank Jazz and Blues Festival will run from 5 to 10 p.m. June 1, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. For a complete listing of performers and festival information, visit www.redbankfestival.com.
