How do you download PMs onto your PC?

Sandi had the instructions for this - I think it was her - somewhere but I don't know where now. I keep having to delete stuff (going back to 2003) that I'd wanted to save in order to make room. I would rather just clean out the whole kit and not have to think about it for awhile.

Thanks!

At the bottom right of the private message page, you'll see Download all private messages as:

Click on Text and presto, it is done: a text file is generated that contains all private messages and their details. Save to your hard disk.

I pull up the letter on the board from the PM's and get the one I want to save displayed, I left click on it holding down the clicker, and drag it down the letter, turning all of the text to blue and white. I release the clicker and move the letter to my own letter page by again clicking on the letter I want to save and not releasing the clicker it stays blue and white and I then drag it over to my letter writing page.

If for some reason this doesn't work just make sure it's still blue and white. Release clicker, and on your keyboard, press down Ctrl and C, together, holding them down and again use your clicker to drag the text over to your letter box, holding everything down at the same time. It's super easy, just try it out doing this post, it all works the same,

I just dragged this down doing what I told you. You can save it in your own letters, or files:

I pull up my page to write, like I'm going to send a letter from my own computer. April-17th-2007, 01:45 PM #6

This works in reverse as well, if you want to make sure there aren't any typos or other errors, you can type up a post on your own letter board, saving it until you want to post it. If you know you're going to be getting lots of interruptions, this is a good thing to use, and then your post stands a better chance of not being totally discombombulated. You can check it at your leisure. I should do that instead of rushing things out and not spell checking and getting other things right. It's a snap to drag to the posting board. You can do it with everything, your letters, most files, etc.
