Jazzcornertalk Becomes Jazzcorner Again

Came back after lunch and none of my history links were working. Type in "www.jazzcornertalk.com" and you'll see where I was for several frustrated moments.

I thought I had dreamed you all up.

This makes things less fun for me but alright.

speakeasy changed its address while I was at lunch from www.jazzcornertalk.com to speakeasy.jazzcorner.com.

Thank you!

Since Speakeasy was integrated into "the new JC," the correct, current URL has been

http://speakeasy.jazzcorner.com/

But older URLs have worked too. I don't know why your older URL suddenly stopped working.

I don't know the explanation. Maybe Lois will explain when she gets to this thread.

I'm still using http://jazzcornertalk.com/ and it seems to be fine...unless I've dreamed this all up...

I was having trouble with "www.jazzcornertalk.com", but when I take off the "www", it's fine.

works at home for me too. Pete discovered something I thought - I'm not sure what he is referring to in his post though. I got outfitted with a new PC Friday morning, but the jctalk links had worked before lunch and then stopped. Hope I didn't catch something damn it.

I have a new PC at home that I bought in February and I am able to connect to jazzcornertalk just fine.

Tippy,

Pete was joking (about a parallel universe, etc).

I just reminded Lois about this thread. Right now, she's dealing with some urgent, wide-ranging tech stuff (affects the whole JC site).

If an old URL works for you now, please don't worry about it. But you might want to delete your old Favorite/Bookmark and replace it with one that uses this current URL:

http://speakeasy.jazzcorner.com/

Not exactly to the point, but I've discovered that if I don't close Firefox when I shut down my computer, at startup, the re-opening of Firefox brings me right back to all the tabs that were open before I closed it down with the passwords in and everything.

Maybe it's always been there but that's my new discovery for '07..

I am not worried about it. I was just mentioning something weird that was happening as it was happening. You could delete this thread and it would all be good as far as I'm concerned. It doesn't require Lois' attention. Just an oddity. I had the thread in The Alley originally remember.

It did for me, too, for the first time just now. I changed my bookmark and logged in again and now all is well.

This could be a sign, tippy. You know, like a, "I should cover Larry with my kisses" type sign. Just sayin'.

It's an upgrade, but don't you get prompted when it restarts to choose whether to revert to the last session?

Jeezziss. It's taken all morning to be able to open a thread on JC from my end. Most of the time I couldn't access JC at all. Then I could get the Speakeasy main page but none of the forums or threads. This is the first thread I've been able to open today.

I've been having same problems for about 48 hours. Sometimes I can get in at jazzcorner.com, sometimes the www is needed, sometimes at speakeasy.jazzcorner.com works, or even jazzcorner.com/speakeasy, but then when I try to post it will let me type but then not submit...

Getting very confusing - I now have about 3 different urls bookmarked.

It's still got a lot of bugs. Some threads I can post to, others not.
