Well, if you ever need to clear shelf space, I'm sure you'll find some buyers here.

In addition to stating that I'd be willing to take any ECM shelf-fillers off the hands of mister loon, I must say that this is one of the most preposterous exclamations I've seen on this board . . . ever.

Oh, and it's Roy Haynes and Bob Moses, by the way.

Perhaps a case of one too many Rob Roys, Ron? My, my... The ol' board is certainly getting a big ol' dose of rash statements and hilariously over-the-top poop these days. Ah well, makes it interesting. I think I'll go out and get my head examined

Yes, indeed, Bill.

Don't be too swift to have your head examined. I hear that's a nifty, if frequently over-the-top concept.

How trashy and troll-like. I'm no big ECM fan, but WTF? Jazz is only made by white people? Or for white people?

There's a ton of live jazz in Melbourne - in fact, there's two festivals on right now - and ECM gets plenty of air-time on various programs and stations.

A loon indeed.

The covers are to illustrate the stupidity of this statement:

No, I have to admit that you're the first of our 5,000 members to get the whole concept. We've kind of been waiting for you to show up and explain it all to us.

Check out my Uncle's bassoon solos on "Apathy" & "Iqbal" from Yusef Lateef's "Centaur & the Phoenix".

There is more blues coming out of his bassoon than there is on any ECM recording.

["another day, another troll"]???????

Another day, another dunce. Get hip, my man.

What difference would it make if there's no blues in music that wasn't intended to have any?

Not that I agree with the pronouncement. Just sayin'.

This isn't a new personality we're dealing with. I'd wager it's a JCer floating a new internet identity.

You're a parody poster; there's no other explanation. Cleveland radio smells like ass and the rare stations that play jazz (all college stations) play ECM recordings.

I don't know when the last time you listened to a Blue Note CD, but they've had a run of really good ones from my view this year to date.

You really seem to have a fixation about getting one's head examined.

That's a good point. Blue Note's reputation as the worst label is earned on the basis of their 50s and 60s recordings. They've been much better in the Norah Jones era.

Another horrible label is Riverside -- they recorded lots of albums with that pianist who plays all the wrong notes.
